Hi Rosalind, this is a great question. But yes, it is generally no problem to feed other, otherwise healthy cats in the home an OTC or prescription urinary tract diet. For the prescription diet, the goals are to keep the urine pH neutral, controlling levels of certain minerals that contribute to urinary crystals and stones, and encourage water intake. While not a necessity for otherwise healthy cats, these properties can be beneficial for any cat and are not harmful. For myself, one of my cats had a urinary bladder stone and I had to put all three on a prescription urinary diet, as separating them out for feeding wouldn't have been successful. The other two did just fine with the diet for the several years my one kitty needed it.
