Cat mostly eat leaves in my small gardent and some time break the plants and also get ill due to this what I do

Hi Jullie,
Some cats do have a predilection for plants. One of my own is certainly one of those, but she is indoor only, so we have had to completely eliminate plants from our home (we had a couple of close calls and found there was no guarantee of keeping her out of rooms or even putting plants "high enough" up that she couldn't reach them). This is definitely more of a challenge if you have an outdoor cat. If there are certain plants you know may be toxic to your cat (see the ASPCA Poison control list) it's best to remove them to completely remove the risk. Other sources indicate you can use motion-activated sprinklers around your garden and plants as a deterrent. You can find wildlife-safe sprays that deter rabbits and deer from eating plants and these can work to deter cats from chewing/eating plants as well. Homemade ones can include diluted vinegar or citrus solutions that you spray on your plants. There are no guarantees, but you can see if one or more of those methods works.
