Need suggestions on a dry cat food to substitute for Dr Elsey's dry chicken kibble. I am having trouble getting it and want to start slowly subbing in something else.

Hi Terrill! It's hard to suggest a substitute given that every cat's preferences are different, but there are a few chicken recipes I've tried with my cats that they seem to like. Their favorite is Made by Nacho, the bone broth infused Chicken & Pumpkin kibble. It's higher in carbs than Dr. Elsey's, but most dry cat foods are. They also have a recipe with freeze-dried pieces in it but I'm trying to avoid freeze-dried food right now which is why I like the Chicken & Pumpkin formula.
If what you're most concerned about is carb content, the most similar recipe to Cleanprotein in terms of high protein/low carb content that I'm aware of is Young Again. The trouble with this brand is it's not sold in pet stores, so you'd have to order it from the website. They have a couple different recipes for different life stages and I think all the recipes contain pork and chicken as the main protein sources.
We also have a roundup of dry cat food brands we recommend here, if you want to check it out: https://cats.com/best-dry-cat-food
If you'd like to share more details about what you're looking for, I can try to offer some more specifics. Hope that helps!
