Have you tried

Catit Go Natural Pea Husk Clumping Cat Litter? I am trying to decide if it would be a good in general for cats trying to avoid clay based litters

Due to some changes in our household, now I have to keep the cat litter box in my office for TWO cats 🙂 NOT great for me. Also, this room is carpeted. We have a large hooded litter box and I've tried SO many different brands! Thankfully they are not fussy about that. MAIN ISSUE - looking for litter that is BOTH best for odor control (it's only a few feet away from me) and tracking. The current brand of choice is OKOCAT but it does NOT help with odor at all. Pellets are good as they track less but a lot of good pellets get scooped up with the bad and it's not cheap. I tried Smart Cat - no odor control and tracks a lot, Worlds Best Cat Litter - better with odor but dusty and tracks a lot despite what they say. I am getting desperate here!

@dw I have recently settled on Boxicat Extra Strength, which is great for odor control and is essentially dustless.  This after getting fed up with Dr. Elsey's Ultra, which claimed "99%" dust free but which actually created plumes of dust. FYI, there will always be some tracking of litter, but with Boxicat it is minimal.

Caveat:  I clean the litterbox twice a day.
