Tuft & Paw Really Great Cat Food?

Tuft & Paw Really Great Cat Food is fairly new. It seems to get a lot of good reviews but there isn't a ton out there on it as it was only introduced this year I believe. I was wondering how you feel about the quality of Tuft & Paw ingredients and if it this cat food is on the same quality level as smalls? Thank you!

Hi Eric,

Yes we do, I’d say it’s a good choice if your cat likes the texture and taste.

It’s similar to Smalls in quality but the texture is a bit different.

What we like about Tuft & Paw is the following:

No carbs as cats find it harder to digest them, although they can.

Using chelate minerals which are seemingly more bioavailable.

The nod to whole prey via rabbit, they have thought about what they are adding.

They have nice touches like the use of sea salt.

They have a perfect Ca and P balance plus omega 6:3

They provide a good detailed nutritional profile in 3 forms, as fed, DM and 1000kcal

They are not going over the top on their claims, these are all fair and legal and we appreciate the challenge in removing gels.

So overall in terms of quality the foods are pretty similar, the downside is that Tuft & Paw has a limited number of flavours and protein types while Smalls provide a wider more diverse selection.
