We rescued our baby Bogart on January 31, 2023. Our cat Stashie was going threw some grieving over the loss of her brother Rasta who had passed a few months prior. Stashie and I HAD a very strong bond she slept with me every night. In the beginning she was fine. But she stopped sleeping with me and has now went into hiding 24/7. I don't know why she now does not really care for Bogart and I miss her terribly. I'm conceding joining the local pet loss support group. Except my cat is still alive. What can I do to get her back?

I'm sorry to hear about Stashie's changes in behavior.
Do you recall when Stashie stopped joining you in bed and started hiding all the time? Cats that suddenly stop being social and hide constantly might be trying to tell us they are not feeling well. It's always better to be safe and take her for a veterinary health check. If you’ve been to the vet recently and they couldn’t find a medical cause, I would presume she is suffering from an emotional imbalance that needs further investigation; however, starting with a vet check, including a blood panel, would be the first thing to do to rule out any underlying health issues.
