Let's get introduced (and maybe pick up some name inspiration while we're at it)!

What are your cats' names and what do they mean?

Mine are named Wessie and Forest. Wessie is a variant on the Cherokee word for "cat" and the name Forest comes from the way we met—Forest came wandering out of, well, the forest.

My tabby is named Kimchi, after one of my favorite foods. I love food names for animals.

I just adopted this handsome boy, he's about a year old and named him Lemmy after the leader of Motorhead that passed away a few years ago and is dearly missed.

The little white mark on this boys chest was what caught my heart, I had just lost my 15 year old last Nov and I was ready for another friend.

SOX is the name of my Baby girl.

She is a Tuxedo Cat

She got her name as a kitten, because of her 4 White Paws ( aka ) Socks.

She is my Soul Mate and my Best Friend.

Maddie is adorable 18 week old Tuxedo. I adopted her one month to the day after my 17 year old, Jasmine, passed from chronic kidney disease. I believe Jasmine picked her for me.

Tigerlily is a 4.5 year old Tortoiseshell who has lots of 'tortitude'.

Amethyst is an 8 year old dilute calico who wants to be 'top cat' now that Jasmine has passed, but she's not fearless like Jasmine was.

Lucy is a 9 year old Torbie and the sweetest cat on the planet. A little overweight, though we think she's part Maine Coon.

Tigerlily and Amethyst were the names the Rescue, where I adopted them, gave them. Amethyst was from a litter of "jewel" named kittens. I liked them so I kept them.

TIMO and GEMI [GEMINI)

I have two wonderful four year old cats, a brother and a sister found on a sidewalk abandoned when they were about two days old and the  brown female I named Gemini, though I always call her Gemi.  The blue ticked rmale I named Timo.  They are unexpectedly large cats weighing a heavy to carry 15 and  16 pounds.  I can’t imagine their ancestry, but in addition to their larger than usual size, they both have tiny voices, extremely soft coats.

Hi,

I have a Traditional-style Siamese seal-point female, currently 10 weeks old. I took Classical Studies as my undergrad, so I named her Empress Milonia Caesonia. 🙂
