I have several Christmas cactus plants and one of my cats wants to chew on them like its his favorite treat. The plant isn't toxic, but I still don't want chewed up plants. I gave away all my other plants, but really want to keep these few I have left. So are there any tips to keep Storm from chewing on them?

Hi Mary
I'm sorry to hear about the cactus plant. My IBD kitty, who has PICA, has the same problem.
You can try a few things: place a vinegar & water solution next to the cactus, put a few lemon peels inside the soil, or put a few orange peels next to the plant. Keep your cat engaged with interactive toys and introduce harness and leash walks outdoors. I added cat grass, cat-safe herbs (cat mint, cat nip) and silvervine sticks, which helped minimize the need for Simba to nibble on the plants.

I hope one of the above recommendations helps Storm in the coming weeks.
All the best
