I want to know how many grams of wet food is enough for my overweight cat, she's almost 6yrs old and needs to lose 2kg,I don't want to over feed her but she'll eat and eat if I let her but I'm determined to help her lose weight. Ty

Hi Ty,
The best way to approach weight loss is to have a target weight you're aiming for, determine how many calories per day needs to be eaten to reach that target weight. Then, depending on the specific food, you can determine how many grams that turns out to be. Although you mentioned the loss of 2kg is needed, what weight is your kitty currently? You can use our cat calorie calculation tool on cats.com to help you get started. It will have you put in your kitty's weight, age, and some other info. Then, you can select the body condition you think most reflects your cat's. After selecting those, on the next page you can pick how many calories are in the can you're feeding specfically and then it will figure out for you how many cans to feed per day. You can use that can amount to determine grams for your specific food. Here is the link for the tool: https://cats.com/cat-calorie-calculator
I hope that's helpful to get you started.
