I took her advice because she thought she noticed a mild heart murmur during her first visit almost 2 years ago (but hasn’t noticed it since) and at another appointment she commen...

Is Mercury a problem in cat food with tuna?
My cats love Nulo, a food that earned a good score on Cats.com reviews. I notice that tuna is the 4th ingredient so I understand that it may be a small amount. But is it really ok to have them eat this every day? What about mercury buildup in their little bodies? Has this been studied?

How concerned should I be with these *toxic* items for cats?
Over the past year I've come to learn how many common household items are either toxic or not good for cats. I'd love some more insight into whether there are real concerns surrounding things like Onions, Garlic, Onion/Garlic Powder, Lemons, Mint, or even things that contain oils such as Lavender. I...

Can a harness be safely used to prevent falling?
Background - we live with 3 strictly indoor cats on a second floor. To provide them with enrichment, we give them some supervised time on our deck (we back to trees and and a retention pond, so there's a lot of bird/squirrel activity). We are, however, concerned about one of them dashing off the dec...

What to do with an aggressive feral cat
I’ve fed a feral for a year twice a day on my porch. He has a warm mat and a cat house on porch wall. He’s been aggressive towards me recently - hissing and posturing when I come out the door in to the porch. This is scaring me - should I take away the mat or stop feeding him?
