Flea collar safety for cats
please let me know if geraniol at a 0.9 percent active ingredient is harmful 😭 all of the sources i found say it would be if they ate a plant but not likely in a flea collar specifically designed for cats

Then started having pet dandruff (she is overweight and hearty eater, begger, yet extremely picky). Then started hiccups and occasional burps and very stinky bms. A few weeks ag...

Insects as a snack
My kitties don't do well with having their teeth brushed, so I give them tooth powder made out of algae with their food. I know it's not as effective as brushing their teeth so I thought to also include some crunchy/chewy snacks to help clean their teeth through natural abrasiveness. Vital Essenti...

Specific FXD dry cat food
Hi there, My vet carries and sells the brand Specific FXD dry food. The assistant couldn't give me much info about why it's considered healthy, why they carry it, and why I should switch from my current brand. I was hoping for a second opinion. I should add that my cats are allergic to chicken an...

Quality Dry Food without Raw Ingredients
Due to the increase in bird flu and the need to now avoid raw ingredients, I am searching for a tasty, high quality, fully cooked dry cat food. I have been using Orijen Original, and I understand it contains raw foods. What alternatives can you suggest?

Can I feed both wet and dry cat food?
I've heard wet cat food is best, but dry is less messy and smelly, and seems better for tooth health. Is it okay to feed a combination of wet/dry? I'm thinking about switching between wet and dry food every day.

Fish Mox for cats
I care for a feral family. I noticed green mucus the nose of the oldest cat today. Taking him to a vet is impossible. Fish mox and lysine were recommended. I’m not sure how to dose the fish mox. What can I do? I’m also concerned about it spreading to the others. Do I treat them as well for a prevent...

Unproductive urination in male cat
My 2-yr-old male tabby sometimes has episodes of frequent visits to the litter box without producing anything. The vet previously prescribed daily methigel to help prevent crystal formation. Is this a common male problem, or more common in tabbies? Our previous 2 male (black) cats never had this pro...

I am aware of the importance of a cat needing protein, but not sure which brands of food to use when a cat has renal problems.
