Archie started his life as a shelter cat, and now he’s an adventurer, exploring the world with his mom and his Siberian Husky companion, Keena.
Once a scared little kitten, he’s now learned to confront his fears and calmly take on new experiences. In return, he’s made his mom more active and taught her to embrace every moment to the fullest.
Obsessed With Cats
Archie’s mom says that she wasn’t a huge fan of cats, but after adopting him she’s obsessed! Cats are all she can think or talk about.
Archie was brought into the SPCA with five or six other siblings. His mom doesn’t remember for sure, because she was so focused on him and his cute little mustache marking. She met him and took him home the very same day.
She started training with him right away and found that he was a surprisingly fast learner! He picks up on new cues quickly and is very brave about new experiences, even when he’s afraid at first.
Archie is harness trained, knows a number of tricks, and even learned how to get into the car all by himself. He climbs right into his car seat and stays completely relaxed, because his mom took him for daily car rides to desensitize him to the experience.
Archie’s Husky BFF

Archie also goes on adventures with his Siberian Husky BFF, Keena. Their mom says that they get along great, and love spending time together.
His mom hates leaving Archie home alone, so she takes him with her wherever she can, whether she’s roller skating with him on her shoulder or hiking with Keena.
They often explore close to home, but Archie has also been all the way to Brazil! It was the first time he saw the ocean, his mom says, and it was a little scary for him. Still, he enjoyed being on the beach and walking along the pier.
Changing Each Others’ Lives

Archie’s mom describes him as incredibly intelligent, energetic, and playful. He’s well-trained, but can also be sassy. During his “teenage phase,” he would often know what she asked of him, yet do the exact opposite!
She and Archie changed each other’s lives for the better. They’ve experienced so many new things because of each other, and she says he makes her more active and helps her with her mental health.
Many other cat parents say the same, and it’s not a baseless claim. Studies have shown that owning a cat can boost your physical and mental health. Cats provide companionship, reduce stress, and encourage us to live in the present. Their purrs may even have healing abilities!
