Bodi the cat absolutely loves adventures. Whether he’s hiking with his mom or walking by himself to the local school, there’s never a dull moment!
This cat also has a hedgehog sister and, as you might expect, they’re absolutely adorable together.
A Smart, Spirited Cat
Bodi’s mom describes him as incredibly smart. He’s learned all sorts of tricks, from walking on a cat wheel to using a talking button to get treats.
She also says that he has a contagious spirit, and always wants to be outside adventuring and having fun.
He’ll sometimes walk to their local school and go up to the windows, distracting kids from class. One time, he even tried to steal a fish from a neighbor’s pond!

But their favorite moments are the times they travel together. Bodi’s mom got him used to exploring outdoors by taking him out in a cat backpack as a kitten, and by two years old he’d been to the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, and the Czech Republic, and Poland. (You can view these travels and more on his Instagram!)
Bodi loves climbing trees, going on hikes, and even kayaking. Once, he and his mom went climbing in Sächsische Schweiz, the largest rock-climbing region in Germany. It was unplanned and a bit risky, she says, but it made for some amazing memories.
Like most animals, Bodi is very in tune with the world around him. He’s helped his mom learn to notice the little things, like small animals on their hikes. And if she misses a deer or a cyclist about to cross their path, Bodi lets her know!
The Hedgehog Holding Down the Fort
While Bodi and his mom enjoy their outdoor adventures, they have another family member holding down the fort back home: a hedgehog named Chloe.
The three of them live together in the Netherlands, in a peaceful home surrounded by trees. While Chloe obviously doesn’t join them on their hikes, she does enjoy snoozing in her cage and exploring the house during her free-roam time.
Can You Keep Cats and Prey Animals in the Same Home?

Unlikely animal duos like Bodi the cat and Chloe the hedgehog are adorable! If you want to keep cats and prey animals in the same home, it’s very possible, but it does take extra effort.
It’s important to keep at least one secure barrier between the animals at all times and never allow them to interact directly. Even if your cat seems friendly toward your small pet, it’s in their nature to hunt prey–and it only takes a second for things to go terribly wrong.
Of course, it’s also important to research exotic pets thoroughly prior to adoption. For instance, hedgehogs require a specialized diet, consistent temperatures of 74°F or more, and a cage size of six square feet or larger.
