I kept seeing ads for the newish LitterZero litter disposal system popping up on my Facebook and Instagram news feeds, and I decided to order one of these units. You know how those algorithms know our tastes – and I dig cat stuff!
I really liked this litter locker, which is notably cheaper than some competitors when on sale, so I ordered a second one for a different room in the house. Should you order this Korean competitor for Litter Genie and other litter disposal products?

Brand Overview
LitterZero is the flagship product of Petsnology, a Korean pet-tech brand of the Pluto Inc. company. Petsnology, which opened in 2021 in South Korea, did two years of testing and redesigning the LitterZero. The product launched to a very positive reception in Korea, and Petsnology brought the product to the United States market in October 2025. The founders wanted to make life with cats and dogs more enjoyable and less expensive.
“We focus all our time and effort on making life with your pet more convenient through better products and more reasonable prices,” the Petsnology website states when translated into English.
On the LitterZero website’s “About Us” page, the company writes: “Every moment with my pet is precious. A pet’s time moves much faster than ours. So that those moments are kept safe, and you can be entirely present in them, Petsnology stands by you.”
The company offers subscription services to Korean customers with cat products including an automatic litter box (“toilet,” as they call it), along with sand litter and some other supplies. It appears that this subscription services, and the other products, are not offered in America yet.

The ivory-colored pail is about 18 inches high and like a vertical square shape, but with rounded edges. It comes with a big plastic litter scoop and a scoop holder you attach to the bottom of the unit. Users lift the lid and dump the waste into the top chamber, which is lined by a plastic bag from a cartridge. When you push down a lever on the right side of the pail, trap doors underneath open, letting the waste drop down to the hidden bottom of the bag. Then, you cut off the top of the bag with the built-in cutter, put the full bag in a bigger trash bag, pull down the new bag from the cartridge, tie the bottom into a knot, and start a new one.
What We Like
- It’s easy and convenient to use. You just dump the litter box waste into the top of the receptacle, push down the lever, and voila! The waste is out of sight and smell until the bag is full. LitterZero makes it easier to keep the litter area clean and saves time. For one cat, you can easily go more than a month without actually having to dispose of the litter into your outdoor receptacle.
- It’s cleaner and much easier to look at than a tied-up grocery bag full of cat waste, which is a common scooping method. All the waste is out of sight.
- The price is right. At just $9.99 per unit – at least on a promotion as of early August – LitterZero costs less than competitors. The 14-foot refill bags are also on a summer sale at a great price: $18.99 for 12 cartridges.
- It comes with a scooper and holder for the scoop.
- I find the push-down lever that dumps the waste below to be easier to use than the pull-out plates in other litter receptacles.
- The bags have advanced, 7-layer odor protection.
What We Don’t Like
- The lid snaps off the unit somewhat easily, so be extra gentle to keep it attached. (But the soiled litter and waste is locked down below, so that doesn’t result in a smell or mess.)
- The piece that holds the litter scoop attaches to the unit, but not securely. It detaches very easily and is hard to re-attach tightly.
What Did the Test Cats Think?
I have a Brady Bunch of a half dozen strictly indoor cats at my house, including one difficult cat who needs to stay in her own upstairs room some of the time, plus foster kittens and cats in another upstairs room. Each of the upstairs rooms has a LitterZero in it.
Cats don’t really use products like these; they are for the owner, so the cats don’t have an opinion. But, since cats are fastidious creatures, they overall appreciate a clean and tidy litter area, so they will indirectly be grateful for LitterZero and how it helps maintain cleanliness. That is a paw’s up.
What Do Customers Think of LitterZero?
You can purchase LitterZero products directly on the company’s website, which seems to offer the best prices, or on Amazon.
One customer named Maria wrote this on the LitterZero website: “I bought mine a few weeks back and couldn’t be happier. I love that it keeps my bathroom organized, no bad odors, and is very easy to clean and dispose of. … Love it and keep recommending it to my family and friends.”
Another customer named Deborah wrote on the LitterZero website that the product lives up to the advertisements. “I have three cats with three separate litter boxes and am always concerned about smell. So far so good. It is the best out there on the market. It holds more and is larger than any I’ve seen available. I’d like to say great idea and worth the money.”
On Amazon, 88 percent of people who bought LitterZero Base Set – which has the unit with the included scoop and one refill, plus six additional refills – gave the product four or five stars. In the rare one-star negative reviews, users complained about the scooper breaking and the refill bags being too small and reaching the end too quickly. I did not experience either of these issues.
