Cats love to establish their own, quirky routines, especially when it helps them bond with their humans. Your cat might pester you until you turn on the bathroom sink for them to drink from, or paw at your blankets until you let them burrow under. Mine beg for Churu treats every time I sit on a specific chair.
For Fraiza, it’s making cute meeping sounds at her mom each morning–and chirping at her when she sneezes!
“Meep!”
Cat routines often start out innocently enough. Something happens that they enjoy, and then they decide to repeat the experience as often as possible.
Fraiza’s mom woke up one morning and peeked under the towel atop her playpen, checking in on her. Fraiza greeted her with a “meep!”
That was the start of the meeping, her mom says. Fraiza also rolls around and purrs each morning, like her mom has been out of the country for weeks instead of just sleeping nearby.
Fraiza’s mom was so amused by it that she began going to her before she’d even brushed her teeth. Of course, she also started recording to share those cute moments with friends on Instagram.
“Bless You, Mom!”

Fraiza also seems to be a superstitious little cat, “blessing” her mom with a chirp each time she sneezes.
This began when her mom had the flu and was sneezing a lot. She noticed a little chirping sound each time she sneezed, but didn’t immediately associate it with Fraiza.
When she went to check on her, though, she realized she was responding to each and every sneeze.
Fraiza’s Adoption Story

Fraiza’s mom calls her a “spicy little dynamite.” She initially took her in at the request of her sister, who works at a vet clinic.
She told her that a disabled kitten had been brought in and that her owner wanted them to keep her until she was able to have her euthanized. Fraiza was so feisty that the vet staff even had trouble feeding her.
Fraiza’s mom was in a bad place, too. She says that rescuing cats helps her through her depression, and her sister knew it.
She agreed to take the kitten in, and it was love at first sight. Unfortunately, despite being so young, Fraiza had seen a lot of cruelty from the humans who were supposed to care for her. She had deep wounds all over her body.
Her mom cared for her for three days. When Fraiza’s owner came to pick her up, she asked why she wanted to put her down. The response? She was simply too difficult to deal with.
She and her husband thought she was worth the effort, and decided to adopt Fraiza then and there. When he agreed to keep her, Fraiza’s mom says, she was the happiest woman on Earth.
It took Fraiza time to learn to trust humans again, but she slowly came around. Now, she fully expects her people to pamper her. “We have a daughter,” her mom says. Her stuff takes up half of their living room!
Fraiza may have had a bad start to life, but now she has a family who loves her exactly the way she is.
