The Snow Mountain cat litter box offers some great features, and it might be a good replacement for your current litter box or be a great box to start with if you just got a pet for your home. We’re going to cover the ins and outs of this product, so you can determine if it is right for you.

What You Should Know?

Pidan Studio designed this cat litter box as an anti-bacterial litter control product. That means it does more than just contain your cat’s waste. It also kills germs to make for a cleaner, healthier environment for you and your pets. It comes with a disposable litter tray, which makes the box easy to clean.

The included crystal balls are of the low tracking variety, ensuring that your cat makes very little mess when it uses the litter box. It also includes a plastic lining to ensure that your cat leaves the floor clean after using the litter box.

Why We Liked The Snow Mountain Litter Box?

There are a lot of things to like about this particular litter box. Let’s look at a few of the most notable features:

  • Anti-Bacterial Design– You want to keep your cat healthy, and the anti-bacterial feature kills germs fast to keep your cat protected from all the contaminants that tend to lurk inside litter.
  • Environmentally Friendly- This litter boxes uses materials that are safe for the environment, which minimizes hazards and allow you to do your part to protect the Earth.
  • Spacious- This is a litter box you can use for your cat no matter how big it gets. It has lots of space to accommodate your cat as it grows, so you can make a one-time investment and really get your money’s worth out of it. It’s beneficial to your cat to keep using the same litter box, says the Humane Society, since cats can have a tough time adapting to a new litter box once they have gotten used to using the same one for a while.
  • Easy to Clean– This is one of the most convenient and easy to clean litter boxes. All it takes to clean it is to smooth out the litter, take off the lid and replace the litter tray with a new one. That’s just three steps and no mess to clean up, making it a very simple and stress-free litter box to deal with. The entire process takes about a minute. WebMD recommends cleaning your cat’s litter box regularly to keep it smelling pleasant for both you and your cat. So, if the box is easy to clean, that will make it that much simpler to keep clean.
  • Low-Mess Design– We also love the way this box is designed to prevent messes. The edge retracts inward to prevent splashing and to keep the litter box from leaking.
  • Low Tracking- The litter box includes a footboard and a set of vertical stripes. These do a great job of pulling the litter off of your cat’s paws and keeping the cat from tracking litter across the floor.

What Do Customers Think of the Snow Mountain Cat Litter Box?

Let’s see what customers have to say.

Positive Reviews

“I have had this product for over three years now, and it’s size can keep up with either the small or gigantic. My oldest is a high side kind of excreter but that’s not bad, if you pair up this Igloo with transparent high side plastic shields to the inside you won’t need to worry about cleaning urine off from outside under. Trust me. I’ve got three cats now and this Igloo can keep up! Don’t fret for pricing as this is an investment that is true to last.”-C2 reviewing Pidan Igloo Litter Box

“1 cat loves it and the other is warming up to it. Definitely helps keep loose litter to a minimum and looks great in our home.”-Danielle Taraschi reviewing Pidan Igloo Litter Box

Negative Reviews

“I bought this in hopes of maximizing our space since we have a small home. One of my cats started using it immediately, but the other cat would not even go near it. He disliked it so much that he peed on our shoes in protest and we had to put back one of the old litter boxes.

The only reason this design stood out to me over other hooded litter boxes was the grate in the opening to minimize litter tracking. I wouldn’t say it’s been greatly reduced, but it helps a little (we use recycled paper pellets, not regular litter, so I can only comment on that type). The pellets are small enough to fit through the grates without force though, so I thought it would prevent more. It helps a lot with the smell, I barely notice it’s still being used by one of the cats. We also don’t have a dog, so not sure how effective it is at keeping them out.

Overall, I really don’t think it’s worth $150. It’s sturdy enough, but it doesn’t have any extra special features like an air filter/freshener, self-cleaning, etc. that some others do that make the price worth it. I could’ve and should’ve gotten a cheaper hooded litter box that’s essentially the same thing minus the grate. Plus only one of my cats uses it, which is a bummer. I like it for what it is but definitely wouldn’t purchase it again for the price.”-Jack Bowles reviewing Pidan Igloo Litter Box

“I got this litter box from a friend after their cat passed away. They said it was expensive and would rather someone else use it than have it go to waste. I figured I’d take it and see if my cats liked it. They love it. You can easily have it out in the open, and you can barely tell it’s a litter box. It’s large, but the space for the cats to move around inside is a plus. It traps odors really well, as whenever I pull the top off I get a laaaaarge whiff of cat stank :’) As other people have mentioned in their reviews, if your cat sprays or pees close to the walls of the litter box, expect puddles on the floor and a smelly room. I didn’t realize this started happening until I moved the litter box away from the wall and noticed the floor soaked with pee. It sucks because this is a BEAUTIFUL litter box and very modern looking, but the way it’s designed is unfortunate for those who have wall pee-ers.”-Brianna W reviewing Pidan Igloo Litter Box

Conclusion

We highly recommend this litter box. It has a lot going for it, and as you can see from all the features it includes, it will make life a lot easier for you. You’ll have fewer messes to clean up and a lot easier time getting it clean than you would with most competing litter boxes.
