Himalayans, royalty in the feline world, combine the most beautiful traits of the Persian in body and face shape, and the Siamese in coloring. They have the gorgeous color points and blue eyes of the Siamese, with the long, flowing fur and flatter face of the Persian. Affectionately nicknamed “Himmies,” these amazing cats are known for their sweet, cuddly nature.
You can enjoy the Himalayan virtually if you don’t have one in your home, or you want to see more Himmie awesomeness. Many people have set up Instagram accounts for their Himalayan cats, and while there are so many that I am sure I missed many great ones, here are a few I found that cat lovers must check out. (And don’t forget to hit “follow!”)
1. Mika

Mika, a beautiful Himalayan who lives with her family in Canada, introduces herself on Instagram at @mikasummer as a feline who loves “cat naps, temptations & my toy carrot.”
She sports a grumpy face in this cute photo where she is sitting on her “Cat Dad’s jeans.” Mika sits in a purrfect Halloween setting here, surrounded by decorative spiders and candy corn; then, in another October post, Mika struts around in a vampire cape as “Cat Dracula.” Mika checks herself out in a mirror here and is intrigued by her reflection. And listen to these big Himalayan snores from Mika as she takes a catnap! In this funny reel, Mika sports a regal air of feline superiority and dares her family’s dog, who has a page at @piper_frenchton, to steal a kernel of popcorn.
You will love the look and humor of this 12-year-old cat while exploring her more than 500 posts. So join Mika’s almost 3K followers!
2. Piggy

Oh, Piggy – what a cute name! On the page @piggythehimmy, he describes himself in this cute intro: “I’m a little rescue Himalayan dude named Piggy. I love to snuggle, snort, and EAT. I have a rescue Himmy sister named Muffin.” And yes, we do occasionally see the bonus Himalayan sister Muffin, like in this adorable sibling photo. Here, both Himalayans are gazing out the window looking like mini beasts with their lion cuts – a clipped body with poofy head and tail end on a longhaired cat.
Piggy’s page is full of pictures of him lying or sitting on his back and flashing his belly with his front legs in his lap – that seems to be this cat’s shtick. Piggy shows his playful side by sticking his tongue out at the camera.
Check out Piggy, and you’ll want to join his nearly 20.2K followers.
3. Ernie and Jixie

Sadly, Ernie – a blue point Himalayan – crossed the Rainbow Bridge in the late winter of 2026. With this very recent death, it seems an appropriate time to honor this handsome cat and encourage people to follow the page @ernie.jixie.himalayans – where Ernie’s brother, Jixie, still lives on and will continue entertaining more than 2K followers.
Ernie, who died at age 14, inspired this loving tribute from his human: “He was more than just a pet. He was family, he brought love, warmth, loyalty and a constant source of comfort and joy. He was the gentlest soul and his bond with the family was truly special. His kindness and big heart will leave an indelible mark in our lives.” Aawwww.
Ernie looks so cute with Jixie, a seal point Himalayan, in this side-by-side sibling photo. In this cute reel, Jixie checks out his brother while Ernie explores a bag. We send comfort and thoughts and hugs to Ernie’s family, and perhaps when the time is right, Jixie will get a new Himalayan housemate.
4. Hazelnut

I gaped when I discovered this Himalayan’s page because of how floofy he is; this dome-shaped seal point who lives in Hungary resembles Cousin Itt on The Addams Family!
Check out @im_hazelnut_the_cat, where more than 2.6K followers follow this giant ball of floof. Indeed, Hazelnut’s profile says: “I’m known for my huge floof.” The fluffy, handsome boy gazes at us with his blue eyes in a look of feline contentment, and Hazelnut sticks out his tongue in a moment of silliness. This page has no reels, but more than 300 photos of this fabulous cat with the big fur – often with his human mom, who obviously spends a lot of time brushing Hazelnut’s thick mane!
5. Amelie Etoile and Luna

Oh, these adorable “Francofelines” in France! Merci to their humans for sharing them with more than 10.9K followers in more than 1.2K posts at @bonjourchaton_luna, where they greet us with “Bonjour Chaton” – meaning “Hello Kitty.” Well, bonjour back!
Beautiful Amelie Etoile is an exquisite tortie point Himalayan who shrinks when her floofy fur is wet down for a bath that she bravely endures for a reel, which includes a blow-dry session. Amelie Etoile looks adorable in this Halloween shark costume, dubbed to funny Baby Shark background music.
Sadly, the page’s namesake – Luna, Amelie’s companion – is now a cherished memory, as the seal point Himalayan has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. The page is full of photos and reels of this wonderful cat, like this adorable Christmas photo of Luna wearing reindeer antlers. And in this Christmas reel, Luna messes with the tree, which includes a cute dangling Himalayan cat ornament.
6. BenBen

- Number of Followers on Instagram: 1.5K
BenBen – what a cute name – is a 10-year-old chocolate point Himalayan living his best life in Seattle, according to his Instagram page at @benbenthehimalayan. This cat, who loves nose rubs and staring into space, shows patriotism and isn’t afraid to speak up about politics and human-rights issues – I love this guy! He looks so cute taking a catnap on his back. BenBen shows his sense of humor by sticking out his tongue and calling it the human equivalent of picking his nose.
The page, which has only photos and no reels, includes a sweet tribute in BenBen’s voice to Raj, a brown tabby domestic shorthair who preceded BenBen and passed away several years ago. That is sweet. It also shows BenBen’s gray tabby brother, MoMo.
BenBen deserves many more than his 1.5K followers, so go join them!
7. Tiberius, Mika, and Millie

This shaggy guy gave his human the stink eye on his recent 8th birthday, but don’t be fooled by his grumpy face; Tiberius, who entertains Instagram users at @tiberius_the_himalayan, is quite affectionate. As his human put it in a caption: “In true Tiberius fashion, he woke me up this morning with headbutts and purrs, and attempts to wash the skin off my face.”
In this reel, beautiful Mika – who has long fur like a Himalayan but brown tabby coloring – makes biscuits on a blanket. Adorable Millie, born in 2022, is the baby Himalayan of this cat family. Millie looks so cute hopping around as a kitten in this reel while big brother watches! And in this video, Tiberius loves on his little sister – just so adorable.
More than 10.2K fans love this feline family from New Hampshire, and you will too!
