With a focus on high-quality ingredients and sustainable practices, Fuzzball looks to provide a service that’s as good for the environment as it is for your cat, let’s see if this is true.

The Cats.com Standard – Rating Fuzzball on What Matters

We’ve graded Fuzzball in accordance with our vet-approved Cats.com standard, referencing six key criteria to help you determine the brand’s overall quality. Here’s how Fuzzball rates:

Ratings

  • Species-Appropriateness – 8/10
  • Ingredient Quality – 8/10
  • Product Variety – 9/10
  • Price – 7/10
  • Customer Experience – 9/10
  • Recall History – 10/10

Overall Score: 8.5/10

In total, we gave Fuzzball cat food a 51 out of 60 rating or an A grade.

This rating is based on our first-hand testing in June 2025. We found Fuzzball to be a premium, health-focused option for cat owners seeking tailored nutrition and quality ingredients delivered to their door.

Stand-out factors for Fuzzball in our eyes are the brand’s focus on high meat content with no fillers and their commitment to sustainability, though their service might seem a little pricey at first glance.

Why Trust Cats.com

Our cat food brand reviews combine in-depth research and real-world testing with years of experience engaging with the cat food industry. We aim to provide unbiased evaluations of each brand and its products, while also sharing personal insights and the results of in-home testing with our own cats. The goal is to help readers like you decide whether a brand aligns with your (and your cat’s) unique needs.

To write this review of Fuzzball Cat Food, I began by exploring the brand’s history and taking a close look at customer feedback to understand what other pet parents are saying. From there, I put the food to the test with my two cats, Wessie and Forest, carefully observing their reactions and behavior while also evaluating the food’s nutritional composition and overall quality.

Throughout the process, I drew upon my prior experience reviewing a wide range of cat food products—including other premium and specialized lines—to better understand what makes Fuzzball stand out in today’s crowded market.

About Fuzzball Cat Food

Fuzzball is a UK-based cat food subscription service founded in 2023, focused on quality and customisation. Since its launch, Fuzzball has established itself as a highly rated UK cat food brand focused on high-quality, high-protein nutrition. Fuzzball delivers high-quality, human-grade meals tailored to your cat’s individual needs, positioning the brand as an alternative to mass-market cat foods.

Fuzzball avoids the use of fillers, grains and added salts commonly found in mass-produced cat foods, offering wet foods, dry foods and freeze-dried treats free from unnecessary additives.

Fuzzball’s foods are praised by customers for their high meat and fish content and use of recyclable packaging. Before making your first order, the brand asks owners to fill out a quick quiz based around their cat’s health and preferences to build a custom diet plan.

Sourcing and Manufacturing

Fuzzball uses human-grade ingredients in all their foods, with every recipe tested to meet human food standards. The brand’s wet foods contain 75%+ meat, their dry foods contain 70%+ meat and their freeze-dried treats are made from 100% meat or fish. As an extra positive addition, all of Fuzzball’s cat foods are also free from fillers, grains and added salts.

Not only are all of Fuzzball’s products high in meat content, they also only use whole meats, offering pet parents peace-of-mind that their custom diet plans will be healthy and nutritious.

Fuzzball’s wet foods are packed in easy-to-open, pre-portioned tins that can be safely stored in any cool, dry place for up to one year unopened. The brand’s dry foods and freeze-dried cat treats come in resealable containers that can be safely stored for 30+ days once opened.

Ordering and Account Management

Some of the main draws to Fuzzball’s product range are the brand’s convenient subscription service and commitment to responsive customer support. Before making your first order, cat owners are asked to complete a quick quiz to help the brand build an appropriate meal plan.

Questions cover your cat’s likes and dislikes, as well as how often they eat, their weight, age and medical history, helping to ensure the final diet plan is appropriate for their needs.

Fuzzball’s subscription service runs on a 28-day cycle, with options for customers to adjust their cat’s preferences at any time. Delivery is available throughout the UK, including Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands. Fuzzball currently offers a trial package for £8 for owners who want to try the food before committing to a full subscription.

Subscribers can also benefit from Fuzzball’s rewards programme, which offers perks such as free treats, gifts, products, cashback and other rewards. These extras add value to the subscription beyond the food itself.

What Did Our Cats Think?

Fuzzball’s Turkey & Chicken Dry Cat Food

Emma Williams /Cats.com

Our test cats (Wessie and Forest) tried products across the entire Fuzzball range over the course of a week, sampling a selection of wet food recipes alongside Fuzzball’s Turkey & Chicken Dry Cat Food and the brand’s 100% Freeze-Dried Salmon Treats.

Wessie and Forest are both healthy adult cats who love food and treats, though Wessie’s slightly sensitive stomach does make him a bit of a picky eater. Both took to Fuzzball’s wet foods straight away, even Wessie, with the brand’s tuna recipe drawing the most attention.

Fuzzball’s wet foods look really high-quality, with good-sized chunks of whole meat clearly visible and no signs of obvious gristle. Their wet foods also don’t have a particularly strong smell, even the fish recipes which are often bad offenders; a big plus for indoor cat owners.

Both Wessie and Forest enjoyed Fuzzball’s Turkey & Chicken Dry Cat Food, with the small size and firm-yet-pliable structure of the kibble making for a tasty and hassle-free meal time.

We also tried Fuzzball’s salmon cat treats, which were again a hit with both cats. Wessie and Forest were immediately interested as soon as the container was opened, and we like that they’re free from sugar, additives and grains so they can be enjoyed healthily in moderation.

What Do Customers Think of Fuzzball Cat Food?

Customer feedback for Fuzzball is overwhelmingly positive across platforms including Trustpilot and Reviews.io. Owners frequently comment on how enthusiastically their cats eat Fuzzball, including cats previously described as fussy or difficult to please.

Reviews also include positive experiences from owners who have successfully switched their cats to Fuzzball and from those feeding cats with sensitive stomachs. Other recurring themes include praise for the brand’s customer service, convenient ordering process, high meat content and overall product quality.

As with any cat food, individual preferences vary, and some owners report that their cats did not take to particular recipes.

How Much Does Fuzzball Cat Food Cost?

Like other premium cat food subscription services, Fuzzball generally costs more than standard supermarket brands. The custom nature of the service makes it difficult to give an exact figure, but a typical monthly plan costs approximately £40–£60, depending on the individual cat and the products included.

It’s important to consider the price alongside the composition of the food. Fuzzball recipes contain high proportions of animal ingredients, including wet foods with at least 75% meat or fish and dry foods with at least 70% meat. While Fuzzball isn’t positioned as a budget food, its high animal-protein content and ingredient quality help provide additional value relative to its price.

Prices vary depending on your cat’s needs, with your answers to Fuzzball’s introductory quiz determining which foods are recommended and in what quantities. A wet food-only subscription, for example, may contain 56 70g tins, with options to add dry food and treats.

Fuzzball also offers incentives for new customers. The brand currently offers a trial package for £8, giving owners a lower-cost way to introduce their cats to the food before committing to a regular subscription.

Subscribers can also earn or receive benefits through Fuzzball’s rewards programme, including free treats, gifts, products, cashback and other rewards, further improving the overall value of the subscription.

Overall, Is Fuzzball Cat Food a Good Choice?

Founded in 2023, Fuzzball has established itself as a highly rated UK cat food brand focused on high-quality, high-protein nutrition. Based on customer feedback and our own testing experience, Fuzzball is a strong option for pet parents seeking premium, health-focused cat food.

The brand’s focus on high animal-protein content, quality ingredients and customer service makes it an attractive option for many owners, while its commitment to sustainability and responsible ingredient sourcing provides an additional benefit.

The main drawback is its premium price compared with standard supermarket cat foods. However, typical monthly costs of around £40–£60, an £8 trial, the brand’s high proportion of animal ingredients and its subscriber rewards programme strengthen the overall value proposition.

Where Is Fuzzball Cat Food Sold?

Fuzzball is primarily sold online through the brand’s website using a subscription model. Selected products are also available as one-time purchases through TikTok Shop, so customers do not necessarily need a subscription to purchase every Fuzzball product.

Fuzzball delivers throughout the UK, including England, Wales, Scotland, the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland.
