For several years, Raised Right only offered two cat formulas. While the brand has since doubled its selection, the two new recipes don’t differ dramatically from the originals. The biggest changes are in the produce and fat sources: carrots and blueberries have been replaced with ingredients like zucchini, apples, kale, and coconut oil. The core structure of the recipes, single‑protein, low‑carb, limited‑ingredient, remains the same.

As with the turkey recipe, we appreciate Raised Right’s commitment to simple, whole‑food ingredients. The formula avoids high‑carb fillers, artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors, relying instead on fresh fruits, vegetables, organ meats, and kelp for essential nutrients. It’s also a single‑source protein recipe, which can be helpful for cats with dietary sensitivities.

However, our test cats didn’t show much interest in this flavor, similar to their reaction to the turkey recipe. We’ve reviewed Raised Right’s dog food in the past, and while our test dog was slightly more receptive, the dog recipes also looked extremely similar to the cat formulas, which raised some concerns about palatability and product differentiation.
