According to Yohji the cat’s Instagram bio, he’s an actor who is “always confused.” This sweet cat, nicknamed Count Cat-ula, has vampire fangs, crazy whiskers, and a perpetually confused expression.
The Kitten No One Wanted
When his family adopted him in 2017, Yohji was the last of his siblings waiting to be adopted. Everyone else had passed over this sweet boy, but his family knew he was special.
They were right, too! His mom says that he’s a beacon of love during her toughest times, and that he’s always there when he needs her. He’s grown into a lapcat who loves to snuggle.
He also loves belly rubs, but only on his terms.

Yohji also has what his mom calls a “wicked grin,” and a very mischievous personality. Like most cats, he’s especially active at night, and this is also when he gets into the most trouble.
But even during the day, Yohji runs his household like most cats. If he wants something, “He might climb all over you like a tiny furry monster.” After all, the sink isn’t turning on by itself, and Yohji doesn’t have thumbs!
He often gets the zoomies, accompanied by attacking feet under blankets, shredding paper towel rolls, and other shenanigans. Just when you think he’s settled in one place, he’ll sprint away at the speed of light.
When he plays, his eyes go big and round “like he’s trying to figure out if his toys are haunted.”

You might wonder if Yohji’s peculiar appearance causes problems for him. He does have an overbite, which is what causes his cute “vampire fangs,” but he can still eat and drink like a normal cat.
As for the confused expression, well, that’s just his face! Cats with squished faces, like Yohji, often have large, round eyes as well.
Of course, squished faces and large eyes in cats can cause a host of health issues (which Yohji thankfully doesn’t seem impacted by). This includes breathing difficulties, dental problems, and eye issues.
Though these cats are adorable, these exaggerated features are a sign of poor breeding practices. If you’re looking to adopt a squished-face cat breed, we highly recommend adopting from a rescue or shelter, rather than purchasing from a breeder.
